Sven, I took a quick check on the net and came up with this. And this I wonder if you could get any helpful information from them? Look at the bottom two images and the other one on the left, four from the bottom.

Then there's this I don't know if any of this will help but it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. GlynThanks Glyn.It is indeed a Plath 7B windlass, with a 800 lb rating if a response on the Cruisers Forum is correct (I believe it is). I certainly appreciate you digging up the info and pictures even if it probably was all that heavy solid and corroded bronze that spurred you on-Sven.
